A couple of weeks ago we headed to Tehachapi via Oak Creek since the snow has melted and it was such a beautiful day. We had to get the usual gas, dog food, milk. It was nice to have Jeremy with us to run errands so we took our time and visited with friends. Turns out they had one of the wild babies in a pen. The filly had been left for one reason or the other. Not sure if the momma died or if she just got left behind but a stud had beat the tar out of her so they had to do catch her up and doctor her. I think they said they had the halter on her a couple of times before but were still working on getting her to walk forward and follow. My silly little girlie went to work and had her following in no time.........so darn cute. She about gave us all a heartattack with some of it though. We were all standing around visiting when we looked over and she has the rope around the filly's belly getting her ready for a cinch apperantley........She was brushing her all over and started to go for her feet when we stopped her. Man, I tell ya....there is nothing like a kid to get a horse gentle.

That's fabulous! Gosh, Sage looks so big in this photo. I guess that's what happens when you see someone's kids once a year or so.
